TUANZ

Thanks for the TUANZ update - interesting stuff.

As you may know I'm being hosted by the ICT Advisory Task Force to attend the secondary schools sessions in Auckland after our conference on Thursday.

I'm looking forward to it but doubt I'll win any prizes :-(

More when there's more...

No prizes at TUANZ Auckland but I did run into some wonderful people. Right Br David? :-) and all in all, it was time well spent.

The number of teachers attending was a bit disappointing and there were limited exhibitions but the company was great.

One of the best workshops was that of Chris Hayden from Auckland Grammar - he was forthright and if we had more time, he had a lot more to give.

When I heard the key note speaker, I could help compare him with those at the Learning@school conference. He was sincere and as enthusiastice as he could be considering that was the last conference on the circuit. He did well under the circumstances.

There were lots of 'gee-wiz' advice on multi-media - if only our school was one of the rich ones who can afford all those nice things.

I saw my first 'krumping' on a video presented at the end of the conference - dreadful!! And guess what? Our girls already knew about the krumping dance! Mind you, they were mightily impressed that I'd found out about it. :-)

Anyway - as I mentioned, the conference was time well spent and the company was great.
