File Management Session 2

The file below was to compliment the VC session that I was unable to get onto due to certain sites causing our network to fail! :(

Well as one says, one must practice what one preaches! LOL! I have been experimenting with the mimio in the last few weeks and am about to embark on a training session today with a fellow staff member.(poor thing) I enjoy the fact that I can record the students work rather that having to photograph it hehe! I have become very vocal in regards to people touching my projector due to constant recallibrating(sp?). Overall though I am enjoying using it and think it will be a useful resource. Life has been going at a rate of one hundred miles an hour and I'm loving every second of it! We are currently hammering home Cybersafety and I would love it if a lead teacher is available during the school day to maybe skype in and have a chat with us in regards to this. ;0) Look forward to catching up and have a fantastic fun filled Mimio week!

File Management

1. Desktop – right click on desktop, scroll down to New. A folder will appear, you can rename it straight away.

2. You are able to drag folders into folders by left clicking onto folder that you would like to move and holding left click down, you then drag.

3. My Document – Organise Folders. Go to View on Menu Toolbar and change the way you would like you’re "My Documents" to be set out (thumbnails, title etc)

4. To change your folder to look like an icon – Right click on a folder that you would like to change. Scroll down to properties and click on “Customise” Tab (if you do not see a “Customise” Tab then you are unable to alter it) you then click on “Change Icon”.

ICT Experiences

Well, after having lots of PD on ICT, have decided to begin using the equipment I have on hand. Have now set up my Literacy classroom with projector and mimio. Still need Naomi's help though as I have forgotten most of the mimio training that happened at the beginning of the term. See, she's not just a pretty face! (lol) Hope for everything to be in action by the end of the week, let's hope so.

Also because of the TUANZ conference I can now make my own movies using Movie Maker. Feeling quite chuffed about these accomplishments. Have got over the "bloody hell why are we doing this phase?" See, I have now posted my first blog - Amen!

Check this out .... MIHI (just mucking around) We downloaded a programme called AUDACITY and then ENCODE. It's great for recording.

Heaps more I've learnt. Will update you all by the end of the day.
