Te Ara - ICT Helpers

Turakina has just begun the equivalent of the Wellington Girls 'Tech Angels'. Our group is called Te Ara. We have at least two girls from each year level. They chose which staff member they wanted to support. Some girls have two staff members. We meet each Wednesday at lunch time for about 40 minutes and will cover a range of ICT skills. It is hoped that the girls will bring queries about skills their staff member is asking for to these lunch time sessions. We will then teach the group how to solve the problem so they are prepared in the future. The girls are being asked to carry around a notebook and to record what they help their staff member with. During the lunch time sessions at the moment we are focussing on MindSpring - the Te Ara girls are creating their ePortfolios - watch this space!!
