Omg.....

I can't believe it...

You lot are going to be the death of me. I've finally relented and entered something into my Bebo that I created in August (so i could see what all the fuss was...). Who actually has their profile public? Hmm?

Any way...the conference was great in my opinion. Keynote speakers Ewan McIntosh and Tony Ryan gave some really thought provoking ideas (who is going to try the "pen in the teeth" on Monday morning?) and the trade exhibition wasn't too bad either. I'm sure I won the Toshiba pen count (thanks Terri!). Although I PROBABLY won't be using cellphones in class any time soon, the thought is out there and I can see where this would benefit further down the track (perhaps we could convince the boss to provide teacher cell phones?).

Looking forward to implementing new thoughts and sharing them with my work colleagues to ultimately benefit our kids - all systems, full steam ahead!!!

Out the back of Kainga 8. Bit of money in that vacant land!

Well, your right...some great land opportunities there...but didn't they say they wanted to start farming beef etc. to stock their freezers and their coffers???!! Might of herd wrong!

Yes the conference had some excellent opportunities - I found that after being to Rotorua that I now had the opportunity to go to the stands that I wanted to - not just wonder willy-nilly thinking that this isn't for me, do I need to know about overhead projectors, whiteboards etc when I am not in charge of my own budget? No!!!...but I did find the Toshiba stand and all the pens they were willing to give us...but I wanted to connect two screens and even three later on...and now I know I can do two for free and if I want the flash look they had it costs 1200.oo for the three screens and just over $400.oo for the box that hooks them up...that made my day, no my week...

Again I would like to take the opportunity to thank all of those responsible for the weeks outing...the food...the accommodation...the taxi-ing around...the trip home...and of course saying have a good term 4 c u at the next hui in December - just all of it - thanks too Simon for cleaning up my miss-take's on Mindspring - let's see if I can get it right before sharing how to!! Check the pics on Paerangi site!
